Our client is a leading international Group. For one of main industrial site in Mediterranean area (+1.000 people) we are looking for the:

The Purchasing Manager has the overall responsibility for all purchasing activities, projects, and processes within the site and supervises purchasing team members.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Purchases complex materials following established tender standards, availability requirements, and price constraints;
• Obtains quotations and negotiates with suppliers on price, service and assists to ensure technical inclusion on purchased materials and installation contracts;
• Manages interpersonal relationships with supplier staff and contributes to the measurement and reporting of performance;
• Manages and builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure engagement;
• Collects, analyses and recommends solutions to quality problems on purchased materials;
• Advises management of improvements on materials and equipment, price changes, marketing changes and source changes;
• Achieve cost savings in line with departmental targets.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain or a suitably equivalent professional procurement qualification.
• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in managing tenders. People Management skills would be an asset.
• Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems, LEAN principles of planning and MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong Leadership capabilities: excellent negotiation skills and highly results oriented.
• Broad network and able to connect with people from different levels.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English is a must.
